Abstract Punts

 cambridge abstract punts

This week's image will divide many people (as they often do). Some will love its simplicity while others (I'm thinking my Dad again) will give the "that's nice....." response. For that reason that I'm not going to write paragraphs and paragraphs but why you should or shouldn't like it.

Basically, it's my attempt at creating an old-fashioned monochrome image (you might call it line art - I'm not sure). The idea was to remove all detail from the image with the exception of the principal subject matter - In this case, a row of punts moored up.

The image was created in Lightroom and simply involved removing all colour and then playing with the clarity and details sliders. I also used the blemish tool to move some unwanted detail elements from around the punts to help them standout.

Let me know what you think!
