The last blog entry of 2016 and a reminder, as we get blown away by the tail end of a hurricane and the temperature finally begins to fall into single figures, that summer is just around the corner (I admit it is a very big corner). To remind every one of those long summer days and warm evenings, this week's image shows the classic Cambridge scene of the River Cam with punts making their way along its straights.
As a slight twist to the image, I chose to change the focal point of the original shot from the actual punters to the overhanglng willow tree on the edge of the river. This very photogenic tree decides to Photobomb my shot but I think adds a nice frame effect to the edge of the image.
From Cambridgebyphoto, have a fantastic new year and an amazing 2017!
