Some more snow this week and the last photo was taken on from the wintery Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago when Cambridge was covered in a thick blanket of snow (albeit for a few hours). This image was taken on the edge of the marketplace and shows the tracks already being made as cars and bikes carve their way through the drifts to reveal the tarmac below. By the time I was heading back to the warm confines of my car (hot chocolate in hand) the snow was starting to turn into slush and water and the perfect blanket of white across the pavements and fields was taking on more of a dirty grey. By the time I'd walked back to my car the majority of the snow had turned to slush.
I played about with several different filters for this image but decided on the monochrome finish as I felt it helped the snow stand out.
