I wrote and rewrote this week's blog entry. I started by talking about the changing skylines across the country. I deleted that. I then talked about how much how loved silhouettes - after reading it back I'm sure I'd written exactly the same thing before.
I will instead simply say that I chose this image for both those reasons. I love the diversity of the Cambridge skyline that the image shows. The historical "Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church" (most people know it Hills Road Church) on one side and two massive cranes (I can't pinpoint exactly what construction they're linked to) on the other.
I didn't change much with the image with the exception of increasing the black tone level to remove some the detail from the buildings to create a more substantial silhouette effect.
Oh, and I still love taking photos of silhouettes......
