Do you know how long it took me to find a single person wearing a Christmas hat?! The spirit of Christmas is well and truly alive in Cambridge! Maybe it's too early. This image was taken from the top of the St Mary's Church tower which overlooks the city marketplace a few weeks ago. Its not my first image from the top of the tower. (See Market from Above). You get such an amazing view from the top of that building. You can see the whole of the market place, but so much more. You can see literally for miles and miles. It actually makes the city look smaller as the countryside and city outskirts look so much closer.
Anyway, back to the image and my quest to try and find single red hat in the sea of Cambridge market. From my vantage point on top of the church tower it took almost twenty minutes until the familiar Santa hat finally came into view. In post-editing I decided to isolate the hat so it would stand out from the mass of colour that the market portrays.
