Something a little bit eerie this week. The lone figure in red. Looking out of the River Cam. Taken while standing on one of the many bridges over the Cam, I've always loved the feeling of perspective in this part of the river. The banks appear to narrow as the buildings seem to rise up alongside and the distance between each of the bridges only feels like a few metres.
I took this image as part of a collection one late winters morning and initially wasn't massively impressed with my handywork. The image was fine - there was nothing particularly wrong with it - the problem it just looked like so many others that i'd taken before..... I loaded it into Lightroom and started to play around with colours and filters, just to see what I could do with it. I ended up isolating the single figure on the first bridge.
It was only after I'd finished that I realised it reminded me of the little girl in red from the film Schindler's List!
